When we combine the word “pseudo” with the term “Christian Church,” it becomes clear what this church stands for without further explanation. It is not a New Testament Christian church, obviously. It is a fraud—a church teaching false doctrines while milking their members.
In this life, we exist for a fleeting moment. The fleeting nature of life means we usually spend our fleeting moments with food, money-making, friends, and relationships. However, time changes during our retirement years. When wrinkles cover your face and walking around your house without your bones aching becomes your most triumphant performance of the day, money is no longer a hot pursuit. Life is a story about being born into this world and then dying with everything we worked hard for becoming meaningless.

Why is it that so many bright people trust in Christ for their eternal future? The biblical answer is that they received Christ’s Spirit after believing in Him. The apostle said, “And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.
But how do we choose Christ and His salvation on our own when the “natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God” (1 Cor. 2:14)? This is hyper-Calvinism, but let us figure it out.

This is the lesson I learned. Never depend on your preacher (or Christian books) for your Christianity. He might preach his questionable theology instead of Christ.
I have been a listener in the church since I retired from my preaching career, and all I noticed was the struggle of most preachers in looking for a biblical sermon idea. They were like being trained in the seminary, where “theology is king.” I had a friend who had memorized his church doctrines like he was going to take the bar exam. But when you asked him something that deviated from his tanked Bible teachings, he would become clueless, like a cabdriver without GPS. That is how most modern preachers have turned out to be these days. They cannot speak for Jesus since their theology has swallowed them.
